My mon was born at a small village in the mountain on Hualien. There are hillocks and river around the village. The civilization in there are backward. My mom lived in a small cement house and there were tow bathroom in the house and the boys slept in a room and the others sleep in the other.(There are three girls and two boys in the house besides my grandfa and grandma.).At that time, they already had electricity but didn’t have TV.In the winter sometimes they had to build a fire to be warm .They were poor at that time. They often ate vegetable for dinner and they only ate meat in some special time like New Year. The entertainment they can do was very simple and pure like bobpeep and hide-and-seek.There was a hall for a specific public use, where they played a movie once a week and that is the lovest iteam of all entertainment to her. one day,my mon ,uncles, aunts and their friends played hide-and-seek.My mom said: “I remember I hid under the tree at that time and suddenly I felt my ankle hurt and I talked to my brother ,but he said:”Don’t care .you are just bitten by the mosquito”But my ankle was painer for a few minute and I cried to my brother and then he found that my ankle was bitten by a snake and he brought her to see the docter who lived next to me as soon as possible.and my borthers, sisters and friends all pee into a basin and used the urine to wipe my ankle and then the doctor let me take medicine and I feel dizzy and then fall asleep.when I wake up I look my ankle is swollen and wraped. But there was nothing to warry I feeled good after some days”.I feel nervous when listened to this story and thank you for supporting this good story.

Wow, that was a close call, wasn’t it? A snake bite might have been fatal but your mom was lucky to recover from the injury. Quite an adventure she had! I wish I could go back to the time when computers or TV were not invented yet. We would have more time to get close to Nature, especially if we lived in the country side as your mom did.
